Pastors

PastorsPastor Mark and Michelle Geer came to Mountain View on Independence Day, July 4th, 2004.  Their ministry has continued to develop and expand since having come to Ridgefield and their passion to see the community of Ridgefield the Greater Vancouver area impacted by the person of Jesus Christ is contagious.

Raised in a minister’s home, Mark has been involved in communicating the message of Jesus Christ virtually his entire life.  He committed his life to follow Christ as a young boy and had a powerful vision as a teenager through which he felt a strong confirmation that God had called him to give himself fully to the work of ministry.  He met his wife Michelle at Northwest University in Kirkland, WA and the two of them traveled together with the Northwest Choir ministering through Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Montana.

They soon married and entered into full-time ministry as the lead pastor of Snoqualmie Valley Assembly of God immediately after their graduation from Northwest University.  Their two children, a boy and a girl, were born while living there.  Following ministry in Eastern Washington to the communities of Latah (South of Spokane) and Warden (South of Moses Lake), where they served collectively for almost ten years, they accepted the invitation to come to Mountain View Christian Center.

Serving as the Lead Pastor since 2004, Mark has expressed his strong passion and sincere desire to invest in making fully devoted disciples for Christ.  Leading both men and women into a deeper experience and relationship with Jesus through Bible study, prayer, counseling and weekly discipleship meetings, many are discovering a new or freshly awakened spiritual life.  Dedicated to the preaching and teaching of God’s Word, the value of daily private and corporate prayer, the philosophy of “doing church as a team”, and reaching the community for Christ by being people of influence, Pastor Mark is helping to lead the way into effective ministry for a vibrant church.

Michelle Geer has served alongside of her husband as one of the church’s worship leaders and pianists since she came to Mountain View.  She currently heads up the worship ministry of Mountain View and provides leadership for the Youth Fine Arts ministry.  She taught for 2 ½ years as the fourth grade teacher at Mountain View’s Christian School before accepting the role as their School Administrator, a ministry position she has served in since June of 2007.  Her commitment to seeing Mountain View’s Christian School widen its influence and impact on the surrounding community and families seeking a high level of Christian Education has helped the school turn the corner at many levels.
